There will be a meeting November 13th at the Oilton School for citizens concerned with the condition of the old hwy. We would like to urge everyone to attend. The County Commissioner has been invited and says he will attend. There is suppose to be TV media coverage and For the Record will be there.
This road is a danger and something needs to be done. Johnny Burke said he couldnt do anything about it because it is a historical highway but channel 2 just reported that old route 66 got resurfaced. So whats up with that? Makes me think Mr. Burke is either full of it or misinformed.
Please make plans to attend and tell your friends. You dont have to live along the road to have it impact your life. So everyone is invited.
