Setting Up Outlook Express:


Open outlook express.

Click Tools.

Go down to accounts and click there.

Click the mail tab in the window that opens.

Click the add button - then select mail.

Type your name: ex:  John Doe

Click the next button.

Type your assigned email address ex:  johndoe@magicwisp.com

Click the next button.

Select POP3 as the incoming mail server

Type mail.magicwisp.com in both blanks for Incoming mail, and Outgoing mail.

Click the next button.

Your account name is your email address.

Your password is what was assigned to you.

Make sure remember password is checked.

Click the next button.

Click the finish button.

Now go back to the internet accounts window that was opened earlier - it should show your new email account.

Highlight your new account by clicking it with your mouse, then click the properties button.

On the general tab you can change the Mail Account name to something you prefer - like John's MagicWISP Email.

Click the servers tab, then make sure that My server requires authentication is checked.

Click the OK button.

Click the close button on the internet accounts window.

You should now be able to send and receive email from your new MagicWISP account using Outlook Express.

Setting Up Microsoft Outlook


Open Outlook


Click Tools.

Go down to E-mail Accounts and click there.

Under E-Mail - select the Add a new e-mail account option

Click Next

Select POP3 as the incoming mail server

Click Next

Under User Information:

Type your name: ex:  John Doe

Type your assigned email address johndoe@magicwisp.com

Under Login Information:

Your User Name is your full email address.

Your password is what was assigned to you.

Make sure remember password is checked.

Make sure the box that says "Log in using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" is NOT checked.

Under Server Information:

Type mail.magicwisp.com in both blanks for Incoming mail, and Outgoing mail.

Click the More Settings button.

On the General tab you can change the Mail Account name to something you prefer - like John's MagicWISP Email.

On the Outgoing Server Tab:

Select the option "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"

Then select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"

Click the OK button.

Click the next button.

Click the finish button.

You should now be able to send and receive email from your new MagicWISP account using Microsoft Outlook .
